Your tasks

Based in Frankfurt, the individual selected for this position will be responsible for the advice of and the strategic dialogue with banks active in the primary bond market, with focus on Spain and Portugal. Your primary task will be to win mandates for new bond issues, by addressing your clients’ funding, capital, sustainable and regulatory needs and offering them access to Commerzbank’s capabilities in capital markets (i.e. from bond origination to distribution, post-transaction coverage and ancillary products). As a member of Bonds, you will be working closely with Syndicate and the EMTN Desk for your day-to-day business. You will also maintain strong alignment with other departments and desks such as Relationship Management, Derivatives and other divisions, to jointly develop new business opportunities and synergies. Furthermore, the role entails the composition of issuance recommendations (e.g. as part of a Request for Proposal), pricing and market updates, presentations, investor roadshows and coordination of KYC and other regulatory topics for your clients.

Your profile

We are looking for a person with the following attributes:

Bachelor’s degree, with Master’s level of studies preferred Concentration / Major in finance or other relevant fields Superior knowledge of specific area of responsibility – at least 5 years of proven market experience in capital markets, with client-facing responsibilities Knowledge of debt instruments as well as related derivatives Fundamental knowledge of the banking regulatory environment and its recent evolution IT acute, capacity to initiate and support ongoing digitization efforts of the desk Full proficiency in Bloomberg and Microsoft Office Strong communication and interpersonal skills as well as team spirit Professional authority in the market and within the company Ability to take ownership of short- and long-term projects, work to a deadline and take initiative Fluency in Spanish (native speaker) and English; a further language is an added positive attribute Our Benefits 30 days of vacation Employer-funded pension Flexible work Health and fitness offers Work internationally Employee conditions Professional training & development Capital-forming benefits
